    Default Header coating

The exhuast wrap i use on my header from Mopac apparently only lasts 1 year . it's useless now and the engine bay temps are out of control.

So i might as well get it coated. I'm asking where people suggest to go who have done it before. Also, what kind of coating are you suggesting?

make sure you either get the titanium coating or the shiny silverish one as they are the highest temp rating, also it takes this long because they have to do a bunch of colors with their gun so they don't want to have to change it out/clean it several times a day, they also have to prep the header and bake it several times to get the improfections out...my 12.5 cents...

you could try caswell coatings and do it yourself. they have a division in canada, and if they send it express or whatever should be here quick but theres a risk that it wont. i would try phoning them if you are interested. i am talking about the exhast header coating....

Is that an SVT header? Watch out for Top Gun; a co-worker had his done there (the grey finish) and the coating all flaked off, plus his under hood temps skyrocketed.

good eye on recognizing the SVT header . quite impressive for stock hey? .. the SVT header, pcm tune and engine was designed by Cosworth

    1) did top gun warranty their work in your friends situation?
    2) did it flake off due to the coating used on the SVT header?

    thanx in advance

Actually he did an OBX shorty I sold him (I wanted a long-tube but bought one without pics so he offered to buy it from me). He bought a Focus Sport new and got out the sawzall to remove the old one, tossed it in the dumpster. Never even went back for warranty claim. BTW, I'm 02ztsian on CFOC!!!!
