you need an expansion port for the firewire card...which is a faster method of transmission than USB

yes it would work...all you need is any firewire card the ipod comes with a cable and i believe it also has an adapter just in case

this is the PC model, so yes it will work with your pc. there is a mac specific model aswell, but there are now programs that allow u to run pc model on a mac
so the pc model is more desirable

it isnt usb, firewire... the 6 pin looks somewhat like the usb but has an angled edge
most computers wont come with a firewire card, but that doesnt matter since im giving it to the buyer
the ipod can be charged from the firewire card, or the wall which also use the fire wire to connect it
