How old are you? If i were you, i'd go into some places now, and just apply...
Depends on your age tho...But try like, golf courses, Grocery stores, places in mall, etc.

sweet site, needed it aswell, thanks
i'm moving to calgary and i need a job!!!!!
well i don't need one but it would be nice to have one.
prefer the IT field but I doubt it's going to be very easy.
Unless you have experiance in it, and people are actually hiring...?
I don't know whats going it the IT field, but there are alot of jobs avaliable in Calgary
Come work with the City......
If you get on in time, depending on the position you get, you get either a 3x12 hour/day work week or a 4x9.5 hour/day work week. Add benefits, safety, double time overtime, city perks, uniforms, sweet vehicles, top of the line equipment, and the fact that the only truck route through the south part of downtown is 17th Ave (read: summer time cruizes in rush hour on friday afternoon *drool*), and you have a wicked job.
This will be my 4th year with the city and my 3rd with waterworks...... starting pay=$15.10/hour

i want to find a job something lab/science related form mid june til Sept i doubt thats very possible consider i dont have any experience in that field
You'd be right. If I were you, guessing you're in 2-3yr univ, I'd go try to volunteer working for a prof at either U of A or U of C... That's good experience... Wait till you graduate to make "big" money in your field. During school, it's all about getting job experience.Originally posted by Stratus_Power

It's all about networking! You need to make yourselves some business cards and mingle with business people at parties, events, mixers, etc...
IT jobs are not easy to find but they aren't hard to look for either. You just need to whore yourself as much as possible. Everyone and their grandmothers want to be in IT which is why its so hard to find that kinda job... but like I said.. get some business cards.. spiff up your resume... etc..
Well at least that's what I'm doing lol
see fuji?? u just need to be yourselfOriginally posted by defekt1

If you're in school, you just need to find a professor you like, suck up hardcore and then ask for a job.
Doing well in the class helps too cause it shows you at least got some game.

The funny thing is you dont. If you have done any sort of labour work then you pretty much qualify. Those are standard statements on every application, and usually the City is crying for people as long as they can pass a driving test.Originally posted by Killumanti

Just apply.... they may get desperate and hire you..... and you dont have to be 18 either. I started with the city when I was 17.
