Post The "official" thread for who is going to win the NBA title.

Since theres a NHL thread, why not make a NBA thread?

My pick- Dallas Mavericks. No f-in contest. They're kicking some ass this year. Right now their record is 50-19. They can take any team in the finals. Hair Canada, Nowitzki, and Finley are going to rack up alot of points in the playoffs. My $0.02

no way dallas will do good in the playoffs...i dont htink they are that kind of team. look at how sacramento absolutely manhandled them in most of the meetings this year.

team to take it...is still tke lake show...look at how they have turned it up...they know how to do it under pressure

if not them...im gonna go wiht my underdog pick in the pistons...

I hate to say it......although I want to see Dallas or Sacramento in the finals.......It will be Show time with the Lakers.......those fcukers pull shit out of their asses man!

They barely escape Sac last year but when you are the champs, with phil jackson as coach.....shaq/kobe......they are still the team to beat.....they've earned the respect

Whoever comes out of the West is champion......no doubt about that

The east is a joke.....although I hope MJ and the wizards sneak in for one last time to see the greatest ever in action.......if he didn't retire....oh man, how many championships would the Bulls have won? 8? 9? 10?!

As always, I'm gunning for my team, Sacramento Kings. Hopefully this year they can take the lakers out once and for all

I don't think the Laker's have enough steam to win again this year. Sure they've been dominant the last couple of years but they're not as dominant as the Celtics were in the 60s.

I'm picking Sac...I love CWeb and Bibby. They were CLUTCH last year all throughout the playoffs, it's just unfortanate Robert Horry can pull a couple three pointers out his ass. As much as I like Dallas they can't rely on all their jump shooting come playoff time. Defense is stepped up to the max and Nash, Nowitzki, and Finley won't get half as many open looks. I would love it if the title went back to the East cause the East is my conference!

Ideal situation.....Sac vs. Celtics in the Finals....then I'de have a tough call who to cheer for...just as long as NJ doesn't make it it's all good!

it's going to be the kings. they have a great combination of size and speed, physical and finesse players. dallas as much as i hat to say it, will make it to semi's but that's about it. they don't have the big physical players down low. all they really have is a lanky shawn bradley and maybe raef lafrentz who isn't a post player if u take away the fact that he's so tall.

I want the lakers to win, hehe. I think San Antonio might win. They're been doing pretty well lately. 9 game winning streak.

my vote is for the Raptors and the healthy inVINCEable Carter.

seriously... my vote is for the Kings as they shoulda took it last year. after the Lakers/Kings series last year it was a yawn to watch the finals. it'd be nice to see Dallas go all the way but i don't think they have the fire to make it. and it's true, the Lakers do come through in the clutch, but i think their time has come.

the lakers i think have actually shot themselves in the foot for the playoffs i think.
i think they have the mentality that they can screw around in the regular season, as long as they make the playoffs that's all that matters because that's where they play their best. but while they were doing that, teams like san antonio, dallas and sacramento built up a lot of confidence over the season.
