Well if he is buying, I had a much better purchase experience at Calgary BMW. I live in Tuscany, went to BMW Gallery at first, had a horrible experience. However at the end of the day, both dealerships are owned by the Dilawri auto group so pricing should be similar, however I did end up getting a lower price by a few hundred dollars at Calgary BMW. My sales person was Indy Dhaliwal if it makes any difference.
2016 Tesla Model X
2018 Lincoln Navigator
2016 Porsche GT3 RS
^^^yea they r owned by same guy shouldnt be too much price diffrence
$$$$$$$ BIG MOOE $$$$$$$
bmw gallary for backing there customers, plus any autobody work goes to maranellos and not calgary BMWs bodyshop.
I have had great service at Calgary BMW.

BMW Gallery > Calgary BMW
When I was shopping for my car last summer I had the absolute worst experience at Calgary BMW. Yeah both dealerships are owned by the same guy, but the management at Calgary BMW blows, totally unprofessional.
They're both horrible dealerships. Not to bash the owner, well I am going to anyways. I'm sorry, but he thinks he's the king of Calgary for BMW's because he owns both of them, and it was a huge mistake on the part of BMW Canada to let one person wn the only two dealerships in a city. I have had more negatives from BMW gallery than I have from Calgary BMW though (in terms of service). I am not at all afraid to bash either of the dealerships and if you want to hear about some of my experiences, PM me.
As for pricing, if one dealership says no to your offer, try the other one and do not mention that you already tried the other one. My dad got two different prices (quite a large difference really), between the two dealerships for his 545. It was gallery that accepted the lower offer.

You mean your mom's car?
BMW Gallery, service wise hasn't been toooo bad, had a couple small problems with pricing, parts being late, so on and so forth. BUt thats to be expected.
Haven't dealt with Calgary BMW yet so can't comment.
Thanx alot for the input guys! anymore experiences to share?
Just go to both stores get a quote on a car and find a sales person that you like. Or, find someone who had already bought a BMW and tell the sales person they referred you.
Rev high, ride low.
My uncle tried to price out his new 4.8iS X5 at Calgary BMW and they weren't willing to deal. I guess they didn't want his business so he proceeded to Edmonton BMW and receieved an awesome deal and now is a proud owner of a Lemans Blue X5 4.8iS.
Calgary BMW has issues with service; loaners aren't readily available, slow service...Gallery BMW I don't know anything about.
Yes BMW Canada made a mistake of somewhat monopolizing BMW's in Calgary. But Edmonton isn't really an option for you guys I guess.
Mike
Sure it is, you want the car of your dreams then you'll make the trip to Edmonton

so far it seems pretty even. I guess I'll just let him know to check both dealership for the better deal.
I would have to agree with DC328is that Calgary BMW is NOT recommended because they messed up my paintjob too. Took it in for a service call, when I get it back, they scuffed my paintjob. I too had to tell them to get it repainted...
and another time, after servicing my car, on the way home, a new indicator light flashes.....drove back to the dealership and oops, they forgot to tighten something (can't recall at the moment the item) in my car... fixed it and apologized...
sigh...pathetic really.
good thing I own a porsche now so I never have to deal with those guys again!!! I must say South Centre Fine cars are really professional when it comes to service

I got treated like gold at South Centre when I used to have my old Audi. I wish I had a VW/Porsche so I could re-live that experience again... those guys are AMAZING!
Hands-down the best service department... period!
BMW should be following thier lead... 'cause South Centre is in a whole different league.
Interesting read...
