no kidding. I'm happy edmonton lost, it's just sad that the cup is now home to a place where the only way anyone will care about it is if they parade it around on a nascar.

I'm suprised no oiler fan has chimed in about turek on that one..... but we'll just forget about that.

and as for the US vs. CAN thing, come on we all know that half their team is from canada.

I'm not gonna lie to you....I'm incredibly glad the Canes won the cup!

Does that make me a traitor? HELL NO it doesn't, but I'm a die-hard Flames fan and like others said it's a rivalry.

Plus, how many 'die-hard' Oilers fans were cheering for the Flames when they played Tampa two years ago. If you were then you aren't a true Edmonton fan. My dad is a die-hard Canucks fan and for the entire 04 playoffs he cheered for all the opponents that Calgary faced.

Suck it up....Edmonton choked in Game 7 much like Calgary did in Game 7 of the first round.

All I can say is that I was the happiest guy in the pub 2night! I was roaring out loud whenever the Canes made a great play, and they made a hell of a lot of amazing plays tonight.

I'll give props where they are earned: Jossi played well for coming off cold off the bench this series, however did you truly think Ward would let in more than a goal in the 7th game? I was expecting a shut out.

Ward definately deserved the MVP, I'm definately looking forward to seeing how he progresses next year being the starting goalie for the Hurricanes.

    Go Canes Go!
    Go Flames Go!

Sounds the same, so in my heart its a win for us Flames fans!

WORD....I am totally fucking glad that the Caniacs won!!

It was freaking wicked....that oughta shut them cocky greasers up!

The only thing that makes me sad is that it's been 14 years since Canada's got the cup. But I want the Flames to bring it home, not the damn greasers or nucks or anything.

I am a dihard Flames fan and have been science i was 6 so 19 years and i have to confess i have 2 faviorite teams the Flames and..........................................................................whoever is playing the oilers!!!!!!!!
Its not a canada-u.s. thing and anyone that says that is a bandwagon jumper who started cheering for the oilers about halfway through round one.
And i am saying that to the losers that were calling the Flames in 04 Canada's team and those same jackasses that were saying after the Flames were eliminated this year that we shouldn't take the flags off of our cars cause we should show our support......
Support what??? them golfing.......you might as well say that even though summer is over you should keep wearing shorts well into winter.........the seasons over and when a seasons over you put that seasons gear away till the next season.

Sorry i kinda went off on a rant there

" Message to the Oilers fans: Will you cheer for Calgary next year?

One thing i don't understand tho... When Calgary had their great run they were known as "Canada's Team" alot of cities were pulling for them. How come Edmonton weren't "Canada's Team" No one that i know of were cheering for them. WHY?

Maybe because it's hard to like a city that proclaims itself the 'city of champions' even though they haven't won a Cup in over 15 years and have the same amount of Grey Cups as Calgary in that span. Maybe because it's a city that really has nothing to offer outside of a mall. Maybe because it's a city where the mullit is still fashionable. Maybe because when people hear the word 'Edmonton' the first thing that comes to mind is 'trailer park'. Why else.

Oh Snap you are right we haven't won a cup in 15 years..... but that's still 4 more than what you have. And 2 years shorter than when you won it.... so it would mean that you guys haven't won one in 17 years.... hmmmmmmm.

    I'll leave it at that.

Yeah but we aren't delusional & don't proclaim ourselves as the 'city of champions'.
