    Default what bonds plastic? help!

alrighty, so here's a quick story of what happened

car goes in for an oil change...it's raised up on one of those ramps...when it's being backed off the ramp after the oil change, the front lip gets caught in a part of the ramp and breaks...it doesn't completely break off, the little part that screws on and tucks away behind the wheel well cracks along the bend that tucks it away

i tried to super/krazy glue it, but it didnt work because of the bend...i need something thicker and stronger, but i don't know what.

i dont have a pic of it, but i've attached a pic of the rear lip so u guys know what section i'm talking about...i'm not so sure i made a whole lot of sense above

any ideas on what i should use to bond it? thanks

use some fibreglass cloth and epoxy on the inside where it wont be visible to reinforce it, that usually works awesome

Personally I cracked my polyurathance bumper cause I was in
a car accident all I did was fill it with fiberglass resin and filled
the holes with fiberglass cloth. It'll involve some time and work. So hopefully your up for that. Goodluck man just fiberglass resin and fiberglass cloth or epoxy. Whatever works.

you can get somebody to plastic weld it...but you have to remember to be carefull what you apply to it. some products change the properties of the plastic and afterwords cannot be plastic welded..

Use ProBond Polyurethane, it's not sticky the first half an hour or so, so you have to have something to hold together parts your putting together. It's nice because you can wipe off the excess before it starts to stick and harden.

well i finally went down to home depot yesterday to look for fibreglass epoxy n other stuff u guys recommended. they didn't have it but recommended i use this glue called "goop"...apparently it is supposed to bond really well

i tried it out and that stuff worked like a charm--it took a while to stick but it worked out and thats what matters...

anyways, thanks to everyone who offered to help out, greatly appreciated
