Why would you build up a truck "street racer style"?
I don't think putting a cap in, carpet in, or a screen in would be a good idea.
a) It's illegal to ride in the bed...
b) Your friends can't ride in there if there was a cap.
c) What happens if you guys are driving along, no cap, with a carpet and screen... and it starts raining? In 5 mins, all your money just went to a waste.

It's illegal because, as I believe, you have to have seats and seatbelts. And if you are as stupid as you sound to actually do that often, cruise without seatbelts, you can actually lose your license from demerits and get some massive fines.
Caps leak and look rediculous, if you want to haul friends around and thats the only reason you want to do anything, sell the truck and buy a station wagon.
