In the past year I've known 2 people to get stabbed leaving that place, and my wife had roofies dropped in her drink there. No thanks. I'd feel safer at the crack alley.

Velvet or Mercury Lounge sounds decent.

lounges i'd say metropolitan and fuel for friday nights. Those 2 places you usually get the people who have just gotten off work that work in DT still in their suits go in to have a drink with all their buddies.
Met is 25+ fuel though is more leniant (sp?) on age limit.

what about tantra? it attracts a fairly older crowd?

the lounges on 17th are pretty nice. bungalows is nice buh kind of small.
lucky's is quite nice. spinning house music on fridays and r&b/ hiphop on saturdays. both places attract the older crowd.

Lots of the higher end hotels have nicer restaurant lounges though - Westin has O.N., Hyatt has Sandstone Lounge, Palliser has Rimrock etc.

Go to tantra, good place to hang out and very formal, not suit, but unless you know someone there you arent getting in without dressy clothing and nice black dress shoes. Not alot of young people, mostly older crowd, but be warned, the juice monkeys love tantra!!
