a) taking multiple photos over changing light conditions and exposure levels from the exact same point and combining them in PS
b) using a Nutral Density Gradient Filter (makes the sky darker basically so the foreground looks brighter)
c) being very good at photoshop so that they don't look nasty fake.
That's all after the photographer has made an effective composition.

There's alotta post processing in this thread! Ha....nice photos though.....I seen someone mentioned a grad filter earlier, those are very helpful to shade lighter areas and get good exposure on low light areas.....

how do you get the whole picture in focus like that? I mean there are so many parts that look clear that I don't understand how a single lense could do that much detail..
