Default Laws for mini bikes, scooters, power wheels and segway

I could not find anything definate on this subject in here so I went out looking and found this and figured others might be interested.

Now it pretty much says pocket bikes, go carts, golf carts are only allowed on public land. Be they gas or electric powered. Only way around it is if it is a powered bicycle following their rules but specificaly

is fitted with pedals that are continually operable to propel it,
plus less then 50cc, weighs less then 35 kg... etc

Looks as though a go cart would be technicaly ok if you could hook up some pedals to it. IE a 4 wheel bicycle. Not saying do so as you will probably have problems anyhow.

But it looks to me like segways and those little electric scooters at the stampede are illegal to use on the sidewalks.

Am I correct in deducting segways are illegal as well ?

Here's something that I found on the Canadian Tire website in reference to the new electric assisted bike

    Alberta
Not legal for use on Public Roads, Can be used on private property and some bike trails. Must be older than 16 years of age.

these regulations are current in March 2006 but subject to change

No horn or mirror on that electric bike, alberta requires such. And I dont know if the brake light works on that or its just a light.

Other then that, the speed is the correct rating. I dont know about the motor wattage.

EDIT: It does not have a rear brake light, or tail lamp. It is just a reflector another thing it is lacking to make it a legal powered bicycle in alberta.
