JDM Mould

My MR-2 just came in today and the passenger seat is molded beyond belief. It's on top of the seat and went right through to the bottom. Is there any way of saving the seat? I really love the MR-2 seats and I don't wanna spend money on a new passenger seat.

There is a guy on GTRCANADA who had his seat covered in a mold as well when the car arrived. I heard steam cleaning and some disinfectant products should do the job. Any pics of the seat?

Man, if its black mold stay the fuck away from that seat. People have died from inhaling its spores. If its the greyish kind, its treatable. Ask around to various detailing shops to see if they have an "Ionizer" that basically neutilizes the mold to a degree.
I know Advantage Ford had one when I worked there 4 years ago. But most detailing studios can do this for a flat fee. If you use chemicals, you can ruin the fabric. Best let them do it.
