u want a third gen right? probly a 5spd hardtop, possibly a t-roof? all i know is that either these cars are rusted out to shit or the people who have the respectable ones couldnt bear to part with them...

That was my experience. Was on my short list for a race car, but way too difficult to find in good shape, with the engine/transmission/body combo I wanted. There's usually a couple in the auto trader every time it comes out.

True, and the TPI is a Piece of shit, but its an easy conversion to straight 4bbl or EFI depending on what direction you want to go.

ya for a full year i have to pay 3000, but thats not even including collision (only pl/pd and vandalism), when yur shopping around for 3rd gens keep an eye out for some with 383 strokers (i think theyre usually 5spd's, i cant remember if third gens come in 6spds; i dont think they do), half the time the owners dont even know what it is

you can get a 5.7 tpi in a 5-speed but it was a players edition and they are rare as hell also had a race suspension. I found one 5 yrs ago but was to young(17) at the time to buy it.

I think most owners with a 383 would know what it is, because that engine never came with any Camaro stock.

And thirdgen's (stock) came stock with a 5speed (But never in the 350) or a 4 speed auto.

You should really shop around your insurance, when I was 16 I had a quote of 2400 for insurance (PLPD and vandalism).
