06 Ford Fusion = 94ish and last gen Prelude

Lately I have been seeing alot of Ford Fusions around. It has come to me that the front headlights really remind me of the last gen Honda Prelude and the rear tailights remind me of the 94 ish gen preludes.

I have thrown a 2 minute google search together for immediate comparison. Am I out in left field here or are there any similarites in others eyes?

yah they are similar....alot of cars look the same now adays. They just copy someone elses design and brand it their own and basically whoever pumps out the cars the fastest is the winner.

For the exception of the odd properly done mustang (Saleen, Roush) Amen to the ford = gheyness!!

just to let you know, the tail lights on that 4th gen prelude are from a lexus is300

and to me the front end looks kinda like the cadillac sts:

Anything to put down American cars.. Wow.. It's not even remotely similiar.. You could say the Fusion looks like a Lexus or a Acura.. It's just the type of styling that is popular these days but comparing it to a prelude which has a body kit btw, is just ridiculous.

The center trunk mounted portions are definately that of the is300. The stock Prelude tails are pretty damn close. It was the only quick pic I could find on a 2 minute google search. I'm referring to the pyramid triangular shape. Nothing else.

Some may be reading my thread a bit different then my intention. I'm only making a fast comparison. Im not hacking Ford for design quality. I don't believe Ford looked to two different generations of Honda preludes to get the Fusion rolling. It just came as a quick reminder of what the two preludes shared with the Fusions head and tailight similarities. Some may agree, some may not. Oh well.

I can even see the CTS similarities. The first thing that came to mind while looking at the fusion was the preludes themselves. I found it odd that the front an d the rear both reminded me of two different prelude generations, and i shared it with Beyond.

wow i wish honda came up with the idea for the fusion, it hudda been a nice honda and sold alot more!
