I got a ticket for following to close. Are there any demerit points taken for this?
The ticket was $69.00 and was given by RCMP.
If so, is it worth taking to court?

I'm assuming that there are demerits as it's a moving vehicle violation.
That sux
But it serves you right!
I hate when people follow too close.
Shut up and race!
Hey Toda I hear they might not knock demerits, but if you need a hand give me a shout

If you got a following too close ticket without getting into an accident, Poiints will ALWAYS get you off on it, no fines, no demerits, no record. Apparantly, cops are only supposed to give following too close tickets if you get in an accident.

Hmm... Friend got that ticket a while back, but it was mainly because his driving is ass!
Yeah lets see how close i can get to the rear of the next car... I swear he couldn't even see anything but the rear windsheild of the next car, so in cases like that it serve's him right!
I'm with rage on this one tho, if you weren't doing it purposely and it didn't cause an accident it should be able to be fought off. good luck bro!
