Default Pics of my E30 w/ couple recent additions

Newish to Beyond.ca and I haven't ever really posted pics of my car (other than the for sale pics from when I bought the car off another Beyonder). Recently lost one part and have added a couple others. It's a work in progress but the car is my daily driver so I doubt it'll ever get too extravagant.

Yes it is. The P.O. had said he'd dealt with Tunerworks for some stuff and there is a Tunerworks license plate trim piece on the car. She's still kicking around.

So it was just the motor that was swapped I take it and not the tranny or diff? That could explain why the speedo's off I suppose. I didn't think somebody at Tunerworks owned the car.

I did own the car years ago and I know two of the others owners, including the guy who did the e-to-i engine swap. No idea about the speedo.

Very nice color of the car, not too sure about the white wheels.

    Looks good all in all!

Yes BBS mesh type would be my first choice, money no object though. Unfortunately money is an object so these turned not too bad I think. There are better rims for the car out there but they would have easily cost me close to double probably. Can always do a future swap in rims.

The stance on the car looks pretty good now, the 17's actually added about a .25 inch in height. I'm afraid what it might look like higher up now

Yeah I was thinking some dark red lugs would help tie it together a little but I don't think it's bad at all. Maybe white side view mirrors? I'm not sure that would look good though. I tried like mad to look for similar red car pics with white rims and didn't find a whole lot. Oh well I couldn't pass them up, got a really good deal from another Beyond member on them.

Yeah it's been mine for almost a couple years now and I'd like to do more upgrades with it but there's maintenance work that should really be taken care of first. Rust is beginning to show it's ugly head and tie rods, rubber bits, etc...

That is weird...it seems like you have a mtechnic rear valence on that car that does not match the rest of the car...You need to get a front valence on that ASAP!

Nice find on the E30 though, looks the like PO did some good work for the e to i engine swap. If your looking for power, the "i" engine is a viable candidate for turbocharging because of its naturally lower compression.

Not diggin the rims, and those BBS RS replica's are called remember's by Konig and they are cheap. No where near the price of the RS'.

Good luck with the project, and the most important piece of information I can give you for this E30 is that if you don't know when the timing belt was last changed, do it NOW!!! You do not want to have a broken timing belt on your hands. All sorts of problems will occur.

Some helpful e30 sites can be found at:

    www.e30tech.com [friendly, turbocharging based forum]
www.r3vlimited.com [not very friendly, engine swap forum]
    www.bmwe30.net [plethora of useful information]

    Congrats on your purchase man!

Yep, timing belt, cap and rotor done by me last fall. I was told by a shop (was having other work done) that they'd pop one of the timing belt covers off to have a quick look at it. They said it was worn, hanging on by threads or something like that, basically that it needed to be done. So I did some research and did it myself and the one I was taking off the car looked almost exactly like the new one I was putting on! Definitely didn't look worn to me. oh well chalk it up to experience.
