I should be saying the 350z but,,, my vote is for the S2000, I I dunno why, I'd just rather have the S2000 than the 350z.

Yup, and the STI is more performance oriented. The people looking at them are either true enthusiasts or younger people. The other cars in the list are comparable in price, and are more refined and luxurious - probably more comfortable daily drivers.Originally posted by Aleks
My guess is:
Expenisive car, very poor gas mileage, Interior is very very basic, lots of attention from other drivers.
I think the demographic buying them grows tired quickly.
what's wrong with playing in the snow or on a frozen lake?Originally posted by LilDrunkenSmurf
he said play car... so obviously, it wont be driven in the winter, eliminating the STi (can't believe i said that)
The S2000 is much stiffer then the STi, I would say the 350z would the most luxurious, then STi, then S2000. (greatest to least)Originally posted by richardchan2002

My vote is for the S2000, its a fun car + convertible! =D
I would have got an STi had it been more affordable new. And yes I do think it's an odd looking car but I kind of like that. Nothing else out there looks like it haha
if its for a play car and you have a dd already i would pick the s2k, i have one and personally nothing beats the feeling of air through your hair. i think the s2k would also be the most "fun" out of the cars you have listed. if its daily driven and the loud noise and ride might bother you i would pick the sti.
get the hard top option for the s2k (still removable, but not on the fly)

I have tried all those cars so many times .. ( stock )
For driving .... power performance .. pratrical :
I go STi > S2000 >350Z
For style :
S2000 > 350Z > STi ( actually, both S2000 and 350Z are nice looking car .. but we all know, STi is not a nice looking car .. )
My advice ?
Boxster .. since there is a boxster in your list ... ^_^
It is a Porsche is a Porsche is a Porsche ... and it is a nice mid engine roadster ..
It is slow .. but .. it is a Porsche .. can't compare with those asian car .. totally diff class ..
Service bill on the Porsche will be app. double to STi .. and triple to 350Z/S2000 ..
Well ... it is a Porsche .. who cares for the $550 oil change .. and $$$ service bill ...
Make sure if you buy the Porsche .. do all the "right" service on it .. I have seen so many kids .. bought the boxster .. and never willing to spend $$ on service .. what a waste!!!

I agree, the S2k is a lot of fun in the winter, with winter tires, it handles much better than most car out there in the winter with its 50/50 balance.Originally posted by Ferrari owner

I'll throw this in: BMW M Coupe with S54 engine.
^^^
I'm going to have to FiveFreshFish on this one.
The M Coupe has everything going for it, brand, style, practicality, and performance. Not to mention it's rare, people are going to be stopping you and asking you what the heck it is. Excellent choice for the $35k-$40k range.

i disagree with all of you, s4 all the way 2.7L tt which if you get the computer burned or reprogrammed you can pull 300hp easy. that is if you get 2000, 2001. etc. with an intake, exhaust, chip(or program) you can reach 350 easy. and still have a very comfy, very stylish toy.
scratch that i want all the s4s to myself
I dont think any of those cars look good at all.
I would say either a G35c or bmw z4.
i still like the a4
