Default The new encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding

    by Arnold

has anyone read it? Likes? Dislikes?

The GF gave me her copy for while I'm out on the rigs so I'm gonna start reading it today, took a peak through it the other day and it seems pretty good.

Is there anything out there right now that is more in depth? Anything newer that has come out since this book?

hmmmm thanks for the link, I did search and nothing came up so I don't know why the hell it showed up for you.

Anyway, I have read about 100 pages of it so far and am really liking it at the moment. Great for motivation!

Call me stuborn, but I thought it was an excellent book, and I think some of the negative comments were too harsh. For example people saying that the workouts were too extreme..

.I've got Gold's Gym encyclopedia, and Joe Weider's Encyclopedia... and personally I find all 3 books agree with each other, and the concepts discuss are often common enough knowledge that when you discuss them with a personal trainer, they won't flinch the slightest.

    just my 2 cents worth

Yeah so far the info has been very good and I don't really see the negatives yet. I am just getting into the programs so I'll see what my opinion is after those but I can't see them being that bad.

BTW, I stayed away from the power lifting moves that are in the beginners program. I'm undecided of their value so I wont dispute them. But I felt that I should have some experience before I start swinging heavy weights around.
