Home depot. A normal circle pit will run you around 40 dollars. Make sure the pit is 2M away from any house, deck, ect. Not under any trees and dig out the grass under it first.

at my dads house before they moved into their condo, we dug it into the ground. we basically dug a 3ftx3ft hole about 2.5 ft deep, put the bricks like you normally would in the middle, then filled around the outside with gravel. we then put 4x4 around the outside of the gravel for a nice looking frame. there were 2 layers of brick above the ground, and the grass around it never got burnt or anything. it was perfectly safe, looked nice, and was a lot less messy than when the ash and junk is able to blow all over the place.

Sorry but what's with all the fire pits. If you want a fire go camping. I have neighbours with fire pits, I hate not being able to open the window because of all the smoke. Wish the city would outlaw them.

If its still smoky by the time it reaches your window, they got to burning some pretty lousy firewood

A hot fire with good wood burns pretty clean.

like said above, if burning good wood then it shouldnt stink. so maybe u shoudl go to your neighboors and ask them to use some better wood to help the smoke and smell...
