Anyone Ever Been To St. Maarten/Martin?

Im interested in the place, but not really sure about going there. Has anyone been there? Is it like Mexico and the Carribean where you should get shots before you go? Is it comparble on cost and quality to Hawaii, Mexico, and the like?

Yea, Actually thats one of the reasons I would go. Is there alot to do there, id still be under aged going there.

I'm not doubting you but that just doesn't look right.

Flying a kite at the wrong time could crash a plane. I dont think they would take a risk like that. What about the jet wash? Sound?

iwatched a video of that beach just a few days ago i think.
it was of people getting tossed into the ocean by 747 wash.

From pictures and stories I have seen/heard from people that have been there..a bunch of signs are there talking about the dangerous jet wash...etc.

No ILS on this runway either, so every approach is a good ol' fashioned hands on the throttle and stick landing.
