Going to Vancouver at the end of the month and plan to possibly drive into Seattle. Anyone know how long it takes to cross and if there is a good / fast crossing point?

Just got back from there today. I left at 10:30am from Surrey and it was pretty backed up. Not sure if this is normal for a typical monday but it took an hour to get through custom and another hour to get to Seattle. On the way back it wasnt that busy, 5 mins and we were through. First time for me going across the border so I'm not sure if there are any good/fast crossing points. Hope that answer some of your questions

Too see what the current delay time is... visit http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/general/times/menu-e.html
If you're staying in Vancouver, the most convienent border crossing would probably be Peace Arch but it's the most popular one and is always busy. If you don't mind taking a bit of a drive, get out to Abbotsford/Sumas and that crossing hardly has anyone.. and make sure when you come back, don't miss the Duty Free like we did! haha
