Im trying to connect my laptop to my home computers wireless connection. when i connect though it tries to acquire a network address and can't , so I cant connect.

Is it at least finding your home network? If not, you may have to enable the wireless on the router, and/or broadcast the SSID.

yah, it finds my home network and than it says that it is acquiring the network address, which it never does, and than my connectivity goes low.

did you enter the WEP for your network?
sometimes it won't prompt you to enter it and you have manually go in and do it.
