Ive never been to Hawaii before. But I have the opportunity to move to Honolulu for work. The pay isnt great, but the benefits are nice (car, cheap rent).
What is everyones opinion? gotta decide soon.
Thanks for the input.

If it dosn't work you can always come back.
Do it! Do it! Do it!...
what...you're still here?
WTF is wrong with you - it's Hawaii. Paradise on earth! I was there 3 weeks ago - and if I could find a reasonable way to move there I'd give it serioius thought!
The temperature is always perfect, it smells great, people are incredibly friendly, scads of hot bodies, sandy beaches with warm water and some of the most beautiful places on earth.
If work is gonna send you and pave your way for staying and nothing is so compelling here that you can't come back for a visit then go...

I hear everything is really expensive, and its very americanized. But that would be very cool.
Not as bad as you think, and I'm sure the pay would be in line with the cost of living...Originally posted by natejj

doesn't look like paradise to me after watching Dog the Bounty Hunter

the picture i get is a place run by indians, but instead of drunk off their asses like in calgary, they are high on ice.
Look at it this way...if your living in paradise your not gonna need a really big house or even a job that pays extremely well ...your gonna be too busy enjoying life there that all those big expenses you always wanted won't matter so much. Good luck man..
I wouldn't hesistate for a second if you don't have anything legitimate holding you back.

It looks like there is a pretty rough underbelly of the city - not something that you would see as a tourist. But if it's terrible you can always come back.
Personally I don't like the Hawaii pace. Everybody seems to be running at 1/2 speed and I find that annoying. But it's probably something I could get used to.
Also, I noticed that the sun takes its toll on the locals. Their skin looks like leather and makes them look old, wear sunscreen if you go.
I love hawaii , i would be all over that .. i hate winter

been to hawaii 6 times but mainly on maui. nice place, and its not really like bounty hunter portrays it. like any place it has rich people, and poor people.
put it this way, if there was a cops show in calgary and they only showed the troubled area's like forest lawn and dover, one could assume that all of calgary is a dump, which as we know is far from the truth.
do it dude, it is AWSOME over there.
