AWD dyno in calgary

I ran on the AWD dyno iat Reigel tuning in calgary yesterday. Made an uncorrected 274/297 at 16.4 psi after 20 runs (so i was pretty heatsoaked).

Hima and Casey were great and the dyno was a dynapack 3000. I had a pretty good time! If you guys are interested in running on it give Hima a call.

I thought you were trying to run 20+ PSI

I didnt set up my boost controller right. I need to configure it and then tune again, but you are right I am planning to hit 20psi

So dynapacks for FWD read higher than dynojets. Closer to flywheel. Is this the case with AWD as well? I wouldn't mind getting a base line on my car before any mods.

no. dynapack reads lower than dynojet.

To be honest it all depends on how they are configured.

Hima was saying they rana car on the dynojet at davenport and it read higher than on thiers.

Funny, someone tried to setup the dyno day there and they said they only deal with Porsche.

Dynapacks definately read lower numbers than a Dynojet. I'd say they read similar numbers to a Mustang dyno.

Dynapack is supposed to be the most accurate dyno. Generally it reads between mustang and dynojet numbers.

From all the dynapacks i have seen they read Higher than dynojets. There's no wheels or tires to drive so I figure they would be less loss. Closer to flywheel.

Any idea the cost of a few runs?
I had no idea there was a AWD dyno in Calgary... wonder if there is enough interest for a dyno day... Im sure between the Subie's, Audi's, and whatever else we could set something up

From the Dynapacks I've been on and seen in person, numbers have always been between Dynojets and Mustang dynos. I guess it could just be calibration.

yep, i suppose you can make these things read different things depending on setup.

as fas as dyno day I'd be up for a base run for sure.

I think the dyno in Edmonton is $50 for 3 pulls in 15 minutes for a baseline.
