4G coverage all over, even on Shinkansen @ 300km/h. Definitely cheaper than those pocket wifi they have been selling at airports.

since this is now about 4 years out of date, what are the good travel sites and tips? Looking to take the family on a trip to Vegas in March.
Boosted life tip #329
Girlfriends cost money
Turbos cost money
Both make whining noises
Make the smart choice.

I've never done this before but may I rent a Canadian car and drive it past the US border? Do I need to request specific paperwork or select a specific type of vehicle?
I didn't need anything a few years back. Car was in an accident and we decided on a road trip to Vegas with the rental vehicle. The place tried to give me a vehicle that needed an oil change before we took off on a pretty large road trip. Hah.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
nope nothing, years ago we rented a Forester from Enterprise Calgary and drove it down to LA and back, 5000km and only paid 600$ for the week haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
better mileage and no wear and tear on your personal vehicle

I always ask for a printed copy of the rental agreement, never had to produce it at either border though...this was just in November 2022 alsoThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Thanks all!
Just make sure you pick a car with unlimited mileage and from a reputable rental like EnterpriseThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Drove a work rental truck from Calgary to Nevada.
Told the guy at the border the situation and he was more concerned about how it was overall cheaper to drive a CAD rental than rent something in Nevada. At one point he says "oh ya supposed to ask, you got any firearms or anything?"

We did a one way rental from Calgary to LA using enterprise. They charge $1K when you pick up in Canada and return in US. So we drove down to Montana to pick up the rental, drove back to drop off our own car and went on our way.
Customs was a bit confused but when we explained the price diff they understood.
am looking at a big family trip, 14 of us, possibly taking a cruise, i have never done one, anyone know of any good sites, or referral agents or whatever is needed to plan one of these?
Cruise? Have you considered NOT a cruise? Because I'd prefer NOT a cruise over a cruise. All-inclusive resorts are nice with groups, and easy to plan as a package.
Westjet Vacations Group booking people are excellent and helpful.
