Opinion on this 98 Impreza OUtback

Hi there,

I might be picking up a 98 Impreza Outback Sport. IF you can tell me whether you think it's a good deal that would be great. I have checked priced in the Trader and Bargain Finder and it seems fair.

Car is in Fort Mac. 120km. Minor rust on right rear wheelwell.
Good tires, body, interior. Engine buy a but dusty, but the roads around here are muddy. Timing belt at 100km. Rust check until 2004. Syn oil. Drives well, but I didn't push it hard.

Rear wipe doesn't seem to be working. Lost original keys and cut keys are tricky.

Owner asking $8000. Good price?

i know this might be abit of a hassle... but if u buy imprezas used from the states it is alot cheaper. for roughly 8-10gs you can get a 2002ish impreza.

just a thought.

Yeah cars are cheaper in the USA.

I sold my Type R. Very car, but I am working in Fort Mac and I don't want it sitting in my garage in Calgary, or up here.

if u really are looking that car.. check out what engine it has. if its a ej25 (2.5 litre) then there could be some headgasket issues.
