    Default Air Compressor

I'm looking to buy a air compressor mainly for house renos. I plan on primarly using a general nailer and the specialized nailer for hardwood flooring. Anyone have any recommendations for a decent compressor? i would like to spend under $300.

    Thanks

If that's all you're using it for, check out Princess Auto, but if you want a decent one to use in the garage in the future, I'd recommend taking a trip to Great Falls, MT. You can buy a good one from Sears for 2/3'rds the price of the same one up here (including taxes/duties/gas to get there&back),

My 33 gallon one barely fit in my mustang, lol.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

Would this be sufficent enough to handle a hardwood nailer?

Should be.... you really just need a small compressor with a sausage tank on it. Easy to carry around. A nailer needs pressure, not capacity.

I just did a crap load of hardwood nailing using my dad's 15 gallon compressor, it was plenty big enough to get the job done, you could probably get away with a small compressor in the $150 range

    We have this one:

CT sells it for usually $200-250'ish depending on whether it's on sale or not. Right now it is like $349 which seems odd since that is like $100 more than it was last year even though it was on sale just a couple weeks ago for like $225. Might be a typo on their website or something...check the store or something...it should be way cheaper than that.

Does the job wicked. We did a whole bunch of nailing+stapling and works great for car stuff as well.
