Got parking ticket can i fight it??

hey well this is my first parking ticket. You are suposse to park 5 meters away from the fire hydrant. Well I didnt see the fire hydriant and parked. When i got back there was a ticket for $50 bucks its not much but just wondering if it can be thrown out. On it says that I was 0.0m away from the fire hydriant and aprantlley the guy measured it. But when I went and looked at it I was like atleast i would say 1.0 m away aproxmatley I know I was more than 0 meters away. Could I do anything I even took pictures form my phone. Would I be able to do anything. This ticket is from the parking authority. Please let me know thank you

You have no case. Your photos even prove that you were less than 5M away. Just pay the ticket and suck it up. It's not that expensive anyhow.

Parking authority is city of calgary. you have no choice but to pay it. However, if your ticket was from impark or other company NOT with city of calgary then you could have thrown it away without paying for it.

and is $50 worth missing a day off work? I make just over $170 a day, i know $50 isnt worth it for me even at $7 an hr job its hardly worth it

SO I could park in an impark lot all the time and every time (probably not that often anyways) I got ticketed, I could just throw it away and nothing would happen to me?

If you're found in an impark lot and have outstanding fines with them, they can tow your car. But in regards to the ticket itself, wipe your ass with it.

i have never paid my tickets through them. but than again they were all bullshit.

1st time - was at cyoties
2nd time - paid the machine $5 and it never printed off a ticket for me when i was going to fight a ticket so i used a old one i had in my car, which didn't impress them none the less
