    Default Toronto Shopping

Hey everyone this is the first time I am going to Toronto in a long time. Primarily I am going there to see my family but also to shop. I was just wondering what are some good malls and places to shop around toronto and some sweet places to eat. I am looking for a good mall but more than that just sweet stores in the downtown area that carry more imported stuff, like say from europe, basically stuff you cant buy on every street corner.

Also I was wondering if there is a district with awesome fake stuff, purses, wallets ect.

    Thanks

Bay Street has all the designer stores (D&G, CC, Cartier, etc) if you're in for big cash.

For food - all restaurant have a little sign in their window that show's their score on the last health inspecton (green, yellow, red). Tere are more restaurants than people (almost) so it all depends on what you're in the mood for.

Eaton Center is just a big mall but easy to get to. You should definately check out the shopping at Bloor. If you want to spend more money, go to yorkville area.

You should also check out kensington market, especially on the weekends. Lots of thrift stores with one off items. Also lots of people, live musicians, artists.

If you want the good shit, go to Yorkville area. There are brands and stores there such as D&G, Lacoste, Harry Rosen, Chanel, LV, Cartier, Tommy Bahama etc. Some damn nice shops there. Expect to pay big bank.

Vaughn Mills is also a great suggestion; it is a outlet mall. Sort of a longer drive but has some nice stores in there. They have a lacoste outlet their too for example. (However when I went in, they had the shittiest stuff)

    Eaton center is good.

If your asian, you will DEFINTELY appreciate Pacific Mall. Its a Chinese/Asian mall. That in itself is probably all I need to say for you to get it, but I'll describe it. Basically there is ONLY clothing stores, cell phone stores, electronic good stores, food places, an arcade and fake movie stores. Everything a simple minded asian person could need.

And they are willing to have your business, so they will defintely deal with you. So haggle.

Bloor/Bay area is definitely a nice area to shop. Lots of upscale stores in Yorkville as well. There is a great scenery there on the weekends (people and an endless parade of expensive vehicles).

just walk queen st. west, it'll take all day to walk both sides, go all the way down to the drake hotel, have a drink, then walk back on the other side of the street.

some amazing furniture, art, and clothing stores, my personal favorite is commute home, which sells beautiful one off refurbished "found" objects for a mint.

there are a ton of great book stores too, I prefer wandering queen all day to any crappy mall in tdot.

(born and raised in toronto btw, great city)
