Thumbs up FREE PAID POSTAGE within Canada.

Maybe this is old news, but we've been getting a a lot of mail like bills and such, with a bunch of them supplying those free reply envelopes with postage paid within Canada. So for kicks I took a few and taped over the address and sent them to some other relatives in Calgary and they received them!! I've still been skeptical with using them for any important mail, but the wife thinks it was awesome and used them for some mail in rebates that I thought we would never see again and Bingo, just the other day recieved our $30 rebate cheque.

So keep those free postage paid envelopes and tape over or mask or whatever over the original address and they are good to go within Canada. Not sure if any laws are getting broken here

Good idea actually. I see my mom throw them out all the time.

I wonder if I could stuff some small car parts into one of those envelopes....

    Good work haha.
I always wondered if you put a fake address on the envelope and the address you really want to send the letter to as a return address if they'd get their letter.

Instead of putting a fake address just reverse the TO and FROM address and don't put a stamp on the envelope. So in reality you're sending a letter to your home address but because there is no stamp the post office will return to sender, the address you really want it to go to.

In town yes it would work

If you were sending it out of town no it wouldn't work.

    This thread is gold!

I would probably save about $2/year with these tips. lol. I send out maybe 5 letters a year via snail mail. But free stuff is always good.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

Heres a good idea I've been doing for some time now. Take all your junk mail that Canada Post sends you. then stuff all the postage-paid envelopes with it, then mail it. (Nothing with your addy or name of course!) Send Mastercard applications to Amex, that kinda thing.

This is awesome, I have two envelopes ready to go tomorrow. I'm sure Citi Mastercard would love to have a reverse mortgage, and MBNA is really interested in Primus long distance.

I love it. I've been stuffing coop flyers and other junk into those prepaid envelopes for years and mailing shit back to them.
