Some of that highway is ridiculously low speeds. In BC the coquaholla (sp?!) is 90 or 100. Its a straight 8 lane highway thats perfectly smooth. I do 160 on it everytime, get my damn 10 dollars worth out of it.
Its always empty too.
You consider the Coquihalla highway straight?
I thought most considered it "far from".

Didn't see the posted signs.. They're only posted at EVERY FREAKING POINT OF ENTRANCE on that hwy.
If you didn't know it was 90, then you should have your license pulled because YOU'RE TOO FUCKING BLIND TO DRIVE!
I know it's harsh.. but man.. You're an idiot if you missed it.
There are seriously a ton. Someone would be stupid to fight it for that cause. lol
haha the Coquihalla is wicked. I believe it's 110 for the limit there and I never ever see cops there. Ever. It's such a smooth road, and I've driven it at insane speeds before. Nothing beats the massive downhill sweepers at 140+. They're deceiving corners, looks like you can do 160+ but you'll just understeer into the guardrails haha. Takes balls to take some of those corners at 8/10ths.Originally posted by glennc

I did the limit during my summer vacation, and at some points I was passing people (And of course people were passing me).Originally posted by civicrider
i dont think ive seen anyone do 90 kms in that area. im going 130 and still getting passed on my way to the lake
I can see how it's tempting - the conditions on the road are great compared to some of the highways on the way down.
I don't see a problem with this as Banff is littered with crosswalks, and tourists.Originally posted by RickDaTuner
whats crazy is that they want to lower the speed limit in Banff to 30km/h and its already at 40...
30KM/H is more than fast enough to travel around town. Hell, that'll add an entire minute to your trip if you wanted to cross the town.
Ya I go to Banff to ski and relax, not to be blown off the road by fucking gorby morons in H2's and crotch rockets who are doing almost twice the speed limit.

Kinda scary my first time though, in heavy heavy fog trying to get to the coast in a short period of time. Ride home was much more fun, if only my retarded auto wanted to have some fun the same tiem I did. ZF FTL
