Thans for the offer man, the problem is I cant afford it. That why I need someone to take me. But I appreciate the offer.

I dont know if anyone else has posted this yet but the Flames have announced their final roster after sending Godard and Ference to the minors.

^^ Ya I saw that. I am a little disappointed Godard got sent down, I was looking forward to him laying a beating on some poor Greaser. Hope he will be brought back soon.
Im really glad to see giordano made this year

Although thats more than likely the case, Id like to see him get as much NHL experience as possible. Hes going to be a threat down the line.

Interesting article in the Herald today by Bruce Dowbiggin. I don't really care for the guy, but what he has to say is true....enjoy these next 48 months of Flames hockey.

Umm, both you and Bruce Dowbiggin may have forgotten that 48 months = 4 years. . Now, we can't afford to lose Iginla, Phaneuf, Regehr, AND Kiprusoff, but I think we can afford to lose 1, maybe even two. The new NHL will be all about good drafting, good upbringing of young players, etc. We are not the only team in this situation with discount star players that will need resigning. The salary cap will stay constant between all teams. Bettman said it will likely rise. Not by 5 mil like before, but 3 million in 2 years is reasonable I think. Not to mention the Flames currently have several million under the ceiling. I think we'll be able to keep 3 of the 4 (I'd imagine either Kiprusoff, Phaneuf, Iginla, or Phaneuf, Kiprusoff, Regehr....unless Leland Irving goes crazy and earns a starting job by then, then Phaneuf, Regehr, Iggy). Iginla's salary isn't rising by a whole lot. The room we will have at our current 41ish million in 2 years (imagine the cap's only 2 million more, at 46 million) 5 million of room...that can take care of Kiprusoff's salary mostly. By then, Giordano, and Richie Regehr should be on the roster permanently, which means 3.5 million can be freed up from Hamrlik, allowing Phaneuf a substantial raise. Also, Boyd/Taratukhin will likely be roster players by then, allowing us to shed yet more veteran salary...I'm not worried. Our GM's name is not Keenan, or Millbury, or Snow. It's Sutter. Daryl Sutter.Originally posted by SuPhistiKatEd

I am sure Kipper will be making more money, prob in the $5-7 mill range, unless Iggy has a 80+ point season by the end of his contract I can see him possibly signing in the $5-6 mill mark.
Is the NHL back to home team wearing white this year?
Also Penguins just got sold to a Canadian...
I don't think so, carolina and colorado were both wearing dark at home tonight. Don't know why the leafs were wearing white.Originally posted by mac_82

Edit: looks like they were wearing the white jerseys as a tribute to the 3 being retired.
