I'll be a regular in here again.
Hopefully I can make it out to more games this year, got to 10 in the end last year.

I went to about 7 games or so and could have gone to the first 2 games of the playoffs if it wasnt exam time at Uofc
what position is tanguay playing. im pretty sure he was a right winger when playing for the avs but if hes gonna play top line with iggy does that mean he's gonna play center? i heard he played center in the minors but not sure.
anybody know?
He's a left winger. I doubt he'll play center in Calgary though.Originally posted by marko polo

He's going to play centre in Calgary. I believe he also played as a centre for the Avs before... ( i recall from a few years back).Originally posted by Mr_John

Tanguay will move from the wing to centre and play on a line with Flames captain Jarome Iginla.
''That sets up really well for us because the strength of our organization going forward, if you look at it, the strength is at centre ice,'' said Flames coach and general manager Darryl Sutter.
We'll see how long he stays at center. It could end up working for us but apparently he's not that good at faceoffs. Id rather see one of the young centers (Lombardi/Lundmark) in between Tanguay and Iggy
tanguay is a natural c since his kid days, but when he went to the avs, they were so deep in C, they sent him to the LW to play with sakic/forsberg
I can't see Tanguay lasting very long at centre, Langkow's the man for the job.
Question about tickets for games this year.
Last year they sold game packs at the end of August didn't they? Are they not doing that this year or is it the end of Sept and I'm just on crack?
I only got to make it out to a couple games last year cause all the games were sold out which sucked the big one. Wanting to get my hands on some ducats.
gonna be an awesome year! i'm excited to see how the new players will play with the existing team!
how come noone is mentioning zyuzin? i think he should be a pretty good player for the flames...at least, i hope!
Zyuzin was brought in to replace Leopold numbers wise (not goals..but numbers of Dmen) and will probably fall around 5th or 6th on the depth chart (allowing a few guys to move up). Also, Sutter mentioned that he was also brought in to make the transition to North America easier for Taratukhin. He doesn't speak much English.Originally posted by ProjectR

seems like zyuzin has the tools to make top 4 on most teams, just a lack of give'r night in/night out (type that needs a fire lit under their ass)Originally posted by Nissanaddict

what are everyone's thoughts on taratukhin? will he make and stay on the squad, or is he going to be racking up the frequent flyer miles between omaha and c-town?
Ok so this thread got me thinking about the coming season.
What do out of towners use to watch Flames games on TV? I am thinking about possibly upgrading my cable to digital, or getting a satelite dish because I don't want to have the few games on SportsNet bumped by Oilers games.
Do many people have NHL center ice? Is it worth it? If it is that would mean I have to go with Bell for sat. or Rogers Digi Cable.
Suggestions? (other than getting the hell out of edmonton)
NHL center ice blacks out Flames game if you live in the Calgary area IIRC... can anyone confirm?
Plus how many Flames games are on cable this season? lots!
it only blacks it out if its showing on sportsnet/cbc/tsnOriginally posted by 88CRX
