Seriously, I think the best seafood is the stuff you make at home. My opinion is that restaurant seafood is overpriced, and in a land locked town like Calgary, isn't the best or freshest. So just head on down to T&T or Superstore and pick up some fresh seafood and make it yourself. Most stuff like shellfish only requies steaming or boiling with anyways. I am a HUGE seafood fanatic, but seafood in Calgary is just unless you got tons of $$$.

But to answer the question: I vote sushi places like Sushi Bar Zipang. That's seafood ain't it? Actually they do have seafood. The grilled Mackerel there is probably the BEST piece of cooked fish I've ever had in Calgary.

Joey's Only is a good "on the run" kind of seafood place. Good for a quick nip at some fish n chips.

For real seafood, only places I've been are red lobster banff trail (not mightily impressed, but good ) and Bookers (best. crab. ever.)

Well I ended up trying Big Fish since it is only a few blocks fromy my house. I had the Manitoba Walleye and it was wicked. Started with a bucket of shrimp and some chili sauce, so good. When I say bucket, I mean it came with tons of shrimp...in a bucket haha. Good stuff though, I'd go again. I gotta try some of these other places as well.

Bookers is a brick building that you can easily spot from the 4th Ave flyover coming off Memorial westbound. At the base of the bridge on the right is Bookers Crab Shack.
