Best place to get a tattoo?

I hit up Sin City on 17th ave this afternoon and left an hour later with my piece done. I think they're the only place that take walk ins and they did a great job.

I am looking to get a tattoo it's kinda of a tribal one down the side of my arm I will insert a picture of kinda what I want, does anyone think that they can help with estimating the price of this tattoo to get done.

Not sure where a good place is to go....but i can tell you where NOT to go.

Jokers on 16th and Centre Street.

The older dude there (caucasian, long brown hair with a mohawk, late 30's early 40's.) - the whole time I was there getting some ink done, he complained to me about the asians and their stupid tats and the money they have and the cars they drive.....if he wasn't half way into the hack job he did for me anyways I honestly woulda walked out. He also yaps a lot about when he used to drive truck for wal mart.

So yeah just a heads up.

well that will be my first tattoo also will that tattoo hurt in that area that I am looking at getting it done I am not going to get it on my neck just the arm and shoulder area.

That won't hurt at all, when I got my first tat on my arm it actually felt good, kind of relaxing. then i tattoed my shin and ankle and was almost crying throughout the process.

my shoulder/arm piece took about 2.5 hours at $250, no colour from Doug Fink at Bushido...just to give everyone a general idea.

i got my tattoo done today at immaculate concept on 17th, the artists name was Peel. I really liked the place, walked in for my consult and ended up getting mine done. Very clean, professional place and they've won a good amount of awards for their work.

Anybody heard of a place called "Shattered Wings" on Edmonton Trail and 25 Ave, some tall dude named "Donovan" is the artist. Anyone know of this guy?

There is usually a reason shop's take "walk-ins" this aint a friggen hair cut man, any artist worth anything will have a waiting list and that's guranteed.

I shutter at the thought of a walkin tatoo haha, must be of extreme quality.

Sacred Balance is probably one of the worst shops in Calgary. I don't recomend anyone goto them. It's the one shop that every other tattoo shop hates. The guys there don't even have any real tattoo experience. They're one of those artsy shops where everyone went to art school so for that reason alone they think that they're the best. It's just full of a bunch of emo kids. One of their 'signature' artists is a drug addict and recently he had a client that he needed 2 sessions on to finish and when she came for the second one he told her "if i dont get a peice, i dont finish the peice" and she refused so he didn't finish her tattoo.
