watch out for this dude, fresh in alberta i'm guessing...frequently seen on 16th ave, he will drive by you and then give you a "thumbs down" for no apparent reason?

it might have been because he could not negotiate the lane jog on 16th ave NW by the construction too well......although i dont see how that involved me..

or maybe it was because i was going 50 in a 50 zone, while he was going 35-40 and several cars including myself were trying to get by??....until of course the thumbs down after which he sped by.....

or maybe he doesnt like my car?

On the flipside my buddy just moved here from Toronto and for no reason some guy gave him the finger while coming the opposite way coming through the intersection. Hes certain its because of his plate haha

Thats funny because I used to live in Toronto, and can tell you that most of the people there are much drivers then most of the idiots you see on the roads in Calgary.

Maybe Calgary just makes people bad at driving.

well ya i would rather give somebody the thumbs up or thumbs down then finger them. i dont know to me its just like a big fuck u......hahaha some guy wanted to fight me cause well i had my signal on and his gf or friend whatever didnt wanna let me in. now this is where i get pissed off because i give people the curtiousy all the time and this person just started getting closer and closer to the car in front of her. so i force my way in cause the next set of lights i have to turn left oh an i fingered her in process cause that shit is fuckin annoying....so hes out the window yelling and shit with his arms up. sits back down and then fingers me ahaha i gave him the thumbs up and started driving....he changed lanes and went another way. lol so ya i when somebody is being a prick after the fact i will thumbs up. an exmaple of thumbs down would be stupid fucks that try to race me........rev there engines and shit i just give them a thumbs down and let them burn away. lol fuckin punks.

Last week this chick tried forcing her way into my lane, while I was still beside her, (with no turn signal ), I didn't let her in of course, then she tried again, very aggressively, her back end was within a foot of my side mirror. Meanwhile there was no one behind her, and no one behind me, she could easily have slowed down to change lanes, which she eventually did, after giving me the finger. Stupid cow.

No it's because Calgary is not used to being a city yet, and so when people from Ontario come here and try to drive like they do in larger cities, the locals get all pissed off because they still want to drive like they did in calgary 10 years ago. If you dont know what that means, there are multiple threads on here about how said driving is done. They usually start off like, "Dickhead in a blank" or "Idiot on Deerfoot"
