Went for a little cruise with Marko Polo's new car, 2002 VW GTI, pretty nice ride dude.

oh ya anyone know what octane the v-power gas at shell is?

I have a 1.8t gti 2002, im guessing its 91? not sure, just use 91 at the very least never put any lower in. i got 94 sometimes for a lil extra juice.

Shell V-Power is 91. It's all I use because I like the Airmiles at Shell.

Some car manuals say not to use fuels with over a certain percentage of etnonol, which is how they get the octane to 92, 93, or 94.

Yeah i have only done it once, only noticed a lil more juice but i think it runs smoother on 91.

It's a VR6 right? (I can't remember if those wheels were offered on 1.8T GTI's...I don't think they were). If so, exhaust + intake yo. VR6 = hands down one of the best sounding engines out there when modded.

We had a big debate over what sounds best with exhaust:

VR6 Golf/Jetta
G35 coupe
WRX/Sti.

I think those 3 sound amazing with exhaust. A friend of mine just put a catback on his VR6.

Alrighty yeah it's definately a VR6 because those wheels never came on 1.8T's. Same thing with Jetta's, those wheels were only available on VR6 GLI's.

yea matchstick red is a not so common color, i renember when i had a 00 gti vr6 i was looking for another i this color but its pretty rare...the fact that it is a 1.8t with montecarlos wheels makes it much better

That sounds good for sure, mine sounds pretty similar and I have a 330ci w/ UUC tse3 exhaust on it. So much nicer sounding than my civic with a ricer cannon. haha lol
