Not a single difference between the two.

Right down to having the same bore & stroke, and curb weight to the exact pound.

2004 comes standard with a maintenance indicator light, and automatic power door locks (which did not come as standard in the 2002 models)

Also in 2003 IS300's started having a traction control system on the auto, and LSD on manual.

it was a stability control on the auto all models came with the traction control.

mid way through the 2004 system is when they discontinued lsd on the car
i think in 03 or 04 they also used a slightly darker chrome on the altezza taillights

You are misinformed:

- keyless power door locks standard on all models since '01
- traction control existed on all models since '01
- LSD was available since '01 and discontinued starting '04

'02 models also had the dark chrome tail lights
