Default Luxury Cars... Acura TSX, Lexus IS250, or Audi A4

I'm thinking of getting into a luxury car and have narrowed it down to these 3 cars. (If you have other suggestions feel free to post). I don't want a bmw 3-series... just cuz the dealers have snubbed me everytime i walked in

    fire away

Oh, and I'm looking for more of a comfortable ride, good on gas, and with some power. I know the is250 is underpowered, but the interior is sweet Acura TSX nice body, but no torque. Audi A4, good overall

G35 is nice, but I don't like the interior very much, and gas mileage kind of sucks compared to the others

I'm thinking about entering this exact market too so I'm quite curious. And I think the TL is the one you want to compare for Acura. The Lexus has really caught my eye lately, I really like the look but they seem small??

The Audi is my fav, but the reliability issues are scaring me.

I work at Lexus, and the interior is very nice! I cant remember if you can get the IS 250 in the manual and that is very nice to drive in.
go to Lexus of Calagry and take one for a test drive, and try it on the Deerfoot and see what you think of it.

    Goodl uck on deciding.

TSX is right around 40k, I'm pretty sure the TL is a fair bit more money.

My dad has an 05 TSX and I love it. The 6speed is so smooth, and the car is so comfortable to drive. He had an 03 TL-S before it, and says the TSX is significantly better on gas.

IMO you can't go wrong with the TSX, but the IS250 is a very nice car aswell.

test drive the tsx, tl, is250 and is350....

    and decide...

personally I would get a tsx, cheaper on gas (4 banger) and buy it in the US.... you'll save between $3-$5k, if not more...

I would buy the Lexus hands down. Such a nice looking car!

However, the Acura TSX (and even the TL @ $44K) are good packages. I know a few people with the 05/06 TSX and TL's and they love them. Between the 2, the TL is better value for the dollar imo.

Obviously as an Acura owner I like the Acura's and have no worries about them. The Lexus to me is on par in terms of looks with the Audi. And for status I'm not sure which one is best, probably Audi, although that's pretty far down my list of criteria.

The Lexus IS 250/350 was released in 2005, he's not talking about the IS 300.

Also remember if you are importing a Honda into Canada from the U.S. they will not honour your warranty here.

The rwd model in the IS250 is the only one that comes in a manual. The TSX should be no more faster than the 250 is. I think if you were to go with the A4 2.0 it would be slightly faster to 100km/h than the other two. But not by a far margin

And if you are going for luxury the speed shouldnt a big factor. The 250 has really soft leather compared to the TSX so you can feel your body sink into the seats. Havent sat in an A4 yet though

IS250 get's my vote. TSX is good 2nd choice. I just don't trust Audi's reliability record.

i was looking at these same cars a while back

    1. TSX really love the styling but felt very underpowered and torqueless like you mentioned, that was enough to turn me off the car.

    2. IS250AWD underpowered but actually has some balls, i almost bought one of these because of lexus service, reliability and overall build quality, also a VERY nice interior. again a drawback for me was the automatic only tranny

    3. Audi A4 2.0t was probably my favorite drive out of the 3, AWESOME interior and felt like a very solid car to drive, only thing that held me back was VW's reputation for poor quality, however if this new gen of audi's/vw's get better quality ratings the next car ill drive will be an A4.

also in the tsx based on similar options was about $10K cheaper than the lexus and audi which were both around $50 and the tsx at $40.

A friend of mine just bought an IS250awd. They cross-shopped it against the same list as yours along with the BMW as well.

Everyone always brings up Audi reliability...
The majority of these claims and stories are from cars many many years ago that had electrical problems.. There have been small things lately.. but honestly, can you name a car that didnt have something small go on it?
These are not made in Mexico/Brazil like most VW's...
