I wonder how fast a car that weighed 2000lbs and made around 600hp/tq would run in the 1/4

600hp/tq using what correction factor? or do you mean if it could make 600hp/tq at our elevation? IN that case, just as fast as a 600hp sea level car would run at a sea level track
Depends on the track temp. and the driver. But with that much HP you should be good for High 9's to 10 sec. up here.
600 wheel HP in a 2000 pound should put you bottom 9's, maybe 9.5's if it's FWD.Originally posted by ICEBERG

Over the years i have seen lot of cars that have 600HP can't do better than low 10's at Race City Speed Way. If it is a Hot Humid day than good luck with 9's here in Calgary.Originally posted by tokes

How long is a piece of string?
Since we're on questions that have no answer. Boosted or NA? FWD, RWD, or All wheel Drive? Nitrous? Slicks? Density Altitude? Weather?
If this car exists, run it and then you'll know.
Agreed, my example I use, a monster truck has was 1500-2000 hp? What would it run in the 1/4 mile, like 30 seconds...Originally posted by SilverBoost

Horsepower means nothing, there is alot of other factors that need to be included. Gear ratios, tire sizes, engine torque curves, etc etc...
haha, 30 seconds, monster trucks are fuckin fast, havent u ever watched them? they do the loop in like 30 seconds, over cars and shit.
Yeah, but with the steep gears the have in those things they probably top out at a pretty low speed like 60mph or less.
