Got smoked by a M3
WOWZERS raced a guy i knew with a e46 M3 and saw him on teh highway today so we got on from a roll, instanlty off the drop he got 1/2 car and started fading away..all in all he got about a 5 cars on me easy while still hefty pullin.. took off from the highway and i was behind him, i was going 230 and again he blew me away...
Most respectable loss ever, i bow down the M's

230 is the money spot. If you have good tires, and suspension set up. 230 is like nothing, my car loves high speeds like that. Just hope you upgraded your brakes, then you are good to go.Originally posted by 88CRX

heh, yea 230 is insanely fast for street....just make sure you dont put others at risk around you

potholes at 230 do not affect a car at all. your going fast enough that the tire would carry right over it.

I've only maxed out my car once but I knew the road like the back of my hand and it had no traffic during the time of day I went.

On the highway its a bit different than deerfoot or 17th ave.
230 is a bit much, but at least its not speeding in a school/playground zone.
Longer line of sight and generally better quality roads make the highway not as risky...except for wildlife.
Besides, we wouldn't have wonderfull things like the gumball ralley
