whats the difference between :
ABS plastic, Urethane, and Polyurethane?
I heard ABS plastic is no good cause it has oil inside the plastic itself. but i am not sure and im planning on getting one some time soon. Thanks

It's all essentially the same shit, and many times better than fiberglass pieces.
No, its not. ABS plastic is still pretty hard and can get cracked. Polyurethane is like rubber and you can twist it, bend it and jump on it without anything happeningOriginally posted by BigShow

I'm speaking from experience, I had both on my car at one point...there's no difference, I dont care what technical explanation you come up with.Originally posted by cressida_pimpin

This is the easiest way of explaing it.....it goes back to the old saying "you get what you pay for"

Of course you agree with me. I'm a smart motherfucker, and I'm always right.
My Polyurethane lip cracked once with a chunk flying off after lightly hitting a parking curb in fromt of a 7-11....took it to different places and no one could weld it back together as it does not bond well.....had to get it fixed using rivets and bondo![]()
even though the fitting may not be as good, i like abs more because it is cheaper and less of a hassel when it comes to fixing it in case it does crack.
