    Question Cheap Vancouver hotels?

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking at going to Vancouver on Nov 18-20. I need suggestions where the best and cheapest place to stay. I was looking to be near the attractions such as easy access to Stanley park, grandville, Robson street, so basically downtown. I'n not going to have a car so keep that in mind. oh good food is a must near by. hehe

It will be my first time going so any suggestions will be great. I was looking to spend somewhere in the ball park of less then $90/night.

    Let me know!

    Thanks

Oh don't worry if you stay anywhere in Vancouver you'll be close to good food. Some of the best sushi in Canada is there too. Make sure not to miss the food at Granville Island..Me and some good buddies went there twice on our one week trip because the food was so good.

As far as the hotel is concerned try a Best Western maybe?

Well there's a motel on Kingsway called the 2400.. There are a few good restraunts within walking distance and the 2400 is cheap. I've stayed there myself. It's old though. As far as getting into downtown, it's really easy because there are buses going up and down kingsway nonstop, and the Nanaimo skytrain station is really close.

Oh, another really, really good one: the 4 seasons. Not so cheap, but shit is it nice. And it is downtown, in fact it is attached to the mall. Walk to the harbor too. And a beach. And it's walking distance to The Boathouse, which is IMO the best seafood anywhere.

There's also a Days Inn that I always hear about. Havent stayed there personally, but my dad has and he liked it. It's a little more west of the 4 seasons, but still within walking distance of everything mentioned above.

    Heh, note my location.

Edit: Oh, and it's 'Granville'. no 'd'.

    River Rock!!

It is dirt cheap .. and very best!

We went to Van, and stayed in Sheraton downtown for few nites .. it is nice and expensive hotel ..

Then we moved to River Rock .. for like 1/3 the price .. but it is even nicer! (not downtown, but Richmond, close to all the cheap and good resturants)

Well .. it is a casino hotel .. we don't like casino .. but just staying in their Hotel is fine.. their food and service are great as well.

    www.shaughnessyvillage.com

near the corner of 12th and Oak.

3-4 blocks from Granville St. 3 blocks from W Broadway. Lots of good food all around the area.

From granville and W Broadway, you can pretty much take any bus to downtown. it'll be about a 10-15 min or less bus ride depending on traffic. Granville st is all torn up downtown so your bus route will probably detour. From downtown, you can walk to Stanley park (20-30 min walk?) or take the 19 (i think) on West Pender and it'll take you up to the Acquarium. If you want to see the hollow stump, prospect point lookout and all the other touristy things, i think there's a free stanley park trolley that you can take. i've never taken it before - only seen it go by.

The rooms are small, but who cares, you're only going to be sleeping there it's nice and clean too. I stay there every time i go to Vancouver

You can also walk to Granville island from there. it's about 8-10 blocks. Sammy J. Peppers is

If you get a room on the north side, try and get it above the 9th floor. you'll get some wicked views of yaletown and the north shore.

One of my favorite places to stay . It used to be half the price when we first started going here , but we still love it .
