I know of a disabled guy downtown that rides one around. He doesn't look disabled, he can stand up just fine, but he can't walk worth shit. He gets the same kind of ignorant comments all the time.

yeah....the segway has pretty much failed at all aspects except for providing a 1 minute thrill of owning one.
We studied the segway for a little while in one of my engg courses at UofC and found its purpose and original desing to be a waste of materials... and their idea was mal-familiarized.

but whatever...now we have something to poke fun at.
