Smile Need help with suspensions install

I was wondering if anyone with the knowledge and tools can help me with installing coilovers and camber kit on an 04 TSX. I don't want to break anything installing them myself.

The coilovers don't come with top pillow mounts, so i guess we'll need spring compressors?

Please leave a message here or PM me with details if you think you can help me out.

    Thanks!

Crow Bar (pry the rear control arm down to get shock out)

Springs compressors not needed if you have a air gun! I honestly have never used spring compressors to take out springs!!

I've only ever used them to put stock springs back in!!!

    Good Luck

^^^ and sooner or later your gonna lose a limb or your face, if hes removing stock springs to get the pillow mounts i would think he would need a spring compressor. you can get some strap type ones that just loop around one side (you need two of them) and just clamp it down.

    New car with nice parts?
    Take it to a shop.

Sorry, but your first post leads me to think you wouldn't have a clue what you're doing.

Instead of taking ls/vtec-crx's advice, just take your car to his shop for them to do it.

I couldn't get the spring compressors I borrowed from Part Source to fit in between the coils on my stock front springs, so I just stood on top of the assembly, slowly undid the nut/hex and made sure I had enough room on either side of me for the spring to snap out. Yeah, it took me awhile to find the misplaced nuts, and was kinda scary the first time, but it's really not that bad.

However, in response to the OP, if you have SOME mechanical experience, even if it's just an oil change, feel free to attempt the job yourself. Just make sure you have enough time (ie. at least a full day) for unforeseen circumstances. Good luck and be safe! Wear some good knuckle-protecting gloves too, you'll be glad you had them the first time you slip.

what the guy from speedtech means, is you aim it out of your garage door, and then slowly loosen your top mount, then POOF it all flys out of your garage and go pick it all up later. thats how he they helped with one of mine,
