    Default Engine Swap...

Maybe planning on changing my engine after this winter, and i kno it cost quite a bit just for the labor. But aproximately how much would it cost me to take out a b18a to a b18c2? The engine itself would probably cost about 5 grand. I have a mechanic friend who knows how to do it, but then i dont wnat him to do it for me cause he has no time on his hands. Anyone have a good suggestion where to get it done?

    B18C2?!? $5k?

You should probably look into this a bit more before you get ripped off. A Complete B18C GSR will be easily less than $4k for a complete swap.

its a b18c5...you shouldn't even get a type r swap if you were an idiot to think its a 'b18c2'........get a gsr swap..its a better deal.

    umm no

only a dumbass would waste money for a GSR swap, the price maybe 1-2 grand difference but you still paying for installation and delivery and shit. Why not spend a little more and get something way better?

a.k.a forest lawn, you'll come w/ the car and engine to get installed, and than you'll come back, the shop car, and engine will be gone. haha.

with an extra 2g's, you can definitely make a GSR engine better than a Type R. with 2g's, you could boost that shiet.

you could but if you feel like running boost on an engine with a 11:1 compression ratio then have fun with that. you would be better to build a ls motor or even a gsr for the money your going to spend on just the type r motor. if you did a b18b with pistons/rods/balanced and blueprinted bottom end then decided to turbo you would be alot happier man.

Why not people boost their stock H22a's with 10.5:1 all the time. Nobody says anything about it being smart, the word GHETTO is more associated.
