I saw black artificial Christmas trees at Golden Acres a few years ago.

It's actually been going on for a couple of years, they're pretty popular with 'trendy' people.

I wouldn't get caught dead with one in my house, I had a friend who had one last year.

If I went to someone's house for Christmas and they had that...I would take my gift back and re-gift it to someone else. That tree is not worthy of presents.

Yea in some parts of the world its really big among the "trendy" folk like Hakkola put it. At first they were advertised for people living in small houses or apparments who couldnt really incorporate a regular christmas tree into their living space because of floor space but it caught on as the new "hip and happening" thing.

I personally think its absolutely ridiculously hiddeous and would never buy one.

I saw one on display when I went to Canadian Tire the other night, good for trendy people I suppose or those who have loads of gifts to put underneath and don't enjoy searching at the far back of the tree for presents.
