Tourist Attractions/Things to do along US East Coast

Hey guys, I am thinking of renting a car in New York and drive down the US east coast to Miami for Chistmas/New Year. I got a total of around 10 days. Anyone know any interesting sites to see and places to visit? All inputs are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

But I have been in NY already. I would like to visit some other places. Miami would be nice, but I am just wondering what else is there to do along the way. There is gotta be some places that are interesting.
