Default Need Help with Telus highspeed!!!

So here is my problem. I have moved into a basement of a house which has telus highspeed. I have bought a modem which is identical to what is being used in the house, there are 2 computers being used altogether in the house with 2 telus modems. Now the problem is when we have both computers on my connection is very slow and the other computer can not connect to internet. My question is shouldn't i be able to use the internet even if both computers are on the internet at the same time??

I know with shaw modems, you have to have shaw remotely do some shit to make your modem work after you move, maybe it's the same with telus?

Are you attached to the same phone line? If so, you only need 1 modem. Use a router off the modem to connect both PCs to the net.
