Default Outter CV axel Removal/ball joint removal

So iam in the progress of swapping spindles on my EG, but one a set of the ones iam swapping, a CV axel is still stuck inside. I cant seem to get it out. Anyone have any sudjestions?

PS: will it be this stuborn with the ones comming out of my car? shouldnt the Outter CV which connects to the Spindle just slide out?

and last, how do you propperly use a ball joint removal and presser tool? considering i will be taking off and putting back on twelve times.

New problem, I CANT UNDO the CV AXEL NUT!

if your reuseing the ball joints do not use a pickle fork to remove them get a hammer and hit the sides of the control arm where the ball joint conects to it and just hit the sides when pulling up on the hub/brakes and it does take awhile but if your arnt replacing the ball joints thats how its done and the cv shafts can be a bitch to take out but just pull and when its out a bit you can pry it out (lightly though)
EDIT for the part of the cv that goes into the spindle remove the lower ball joint first then you can get a soft malet and tap the end of the shaft thill its out

the CV and Spindle are Out of the car, ive used a 2 by 4 with a sledge to try and remove it and it still doesnt even budge. As for the balljoints how do you mean hit with a hammer? Where do i hit it?

You hit the side of the ball joint. Never hit the bottom of it, or you'll mushroom that bolt and you won't be able to get the nut back on again.

The arrow is where you hit

A method i used from Honda Tech to seperate the ball joint is jack up the rotor to put pressure on it, loosen the castle nut half way down, then hit where the arrow is, the pressure of the rotor pressing down will seperate the ball joint without tearing it[

*Edit- can't figure out we-todd-did-racing anymore

use this thread it has the pic

I would sugest just going down to canadian tire and renting a ball joint puller if your going to be removeing the and reinstalling them a few times Its worth the the drive.. If you've never rented at canadian tire before its free all you do is pay for the tool then when you return it you get a 100% refund\

If you are unsure on how to use a puller there are some basic intructions on the tool box... but usualy there will be two hooks or teeth that will conect tho the top of the joint then you simply use a wrench to tighten the screw on the back of the puller till the ball joint pops... its usualy pretty loud so don't hit your head when it pops best way to remove ball joints in my opinion

    good luck

If you mean the hub nut then you need a big ass breaker bar, like try a 6 footer, sometimes even an impact gun has trouble
